Keric Ellis
Drums
Hi, my name is Keric Ellis. I've been playing drums for 18 years and have been teaching for about a year and a half. I was heavily involved in band through middle school, high school, and college. This included concert band, marching band, orchestra, steel band, percussion ensemble, and pep band. I was a member of the front ensemble (or pit percussion) while in marching band specializing in keyboards. I have played in bands off and on throughout my life and am currently the drummer for a 90s/00s pop punk band. I was a member of Kappa Kappa Psi, an honorary band service fraternity, while in college and participated in district band. Outside of drumming, I write stories as well as music and perform in live theater.
I believe that music is a freedom of expression. You can learn a lot about a person by what music they play and listen to. Being able to spread that love and knowledge of music is a true joy in my life and my day is always made when a concept clicks for my students. When people find their voice, their rhythm, their sound, I feel like that brightens the world, brings more color to it and being just a small piece of that is why I teach.

Forrest Brown
Guitar Instructor
Forrest Brown has been a staple on the Central Pennsylvania music scene for quite some time. In his career, he's been a member of several well-known area bands and performed with some of the area's finest players.
In the past three decades, Forrest has been a member and leader of Blitz Dynette, worked with Shea Quinn in Clockwork, and had a stint with Rich Clare's Pentagon just to name a few. He is currently filling the guitar chair for The Uptown Bandout of Reading, PA.
Although stage performance is his forte he is equally at home in the studio, or in the pit. Forrest has recorded three albums with his band Blitz Dynette and has a number of musicals to his credit, including “A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline,” “Smokey Joe's Café,” “Godspell,” “Fame” and most recently “All Shook Up.” Versed in many styles, Forrest Brown is a performer worth seeing.
I am currently taking on new students at JW Music!
